Please complete it and email it back or deliver it to the studio along with a cheque as soon as possible so books & supplies can be ordered.

All classes will begin mid-January – date to be confirmed upon registration.

Each additional sibling $80.

Does Music Make You Happy?

I stumbled across this article today -- http://news.discovery.com/human/music-dopamine-happiness-brain-110110.html and that got me to thinking:  what kind of music do I like to listen to? does the kind of music I listen to depend on what I'm doing or what kind of mood I'm in?

Strathmore 2011 Moonbeams 3 Graduates

Congratulations to: Keziah, Reagan, Thomas & Grace (May, 2011)

Just when I thought this class of MYC students was going to fall apart because families were moving on to other activities, moving away, or moving over to private lessons -- Thomas moved down from Edmonton and Keziah transferred over from an MYC teacher who moved away from Brooks.

These guys have been a fun & challenging group to teach. At their last class together I asked for highlights of the years we've been together -- and besides just enjoying coming to class, their favourite memories included seeing who could win the race to their parents' vehicle after class as well as playing hide 'n' seek in our yard. Their music class memories definitely include much more than just learning how to become a proficient readers of music and piano players! I'm happy that they will all be continuing their piano lesson "career" with other teachers and wish them all the best!

I just learned very recently that when we move to Edmonton, I will be teaching out of the very studio that Thomas transferred from -- it definitely is a small world! I will definitely miss all my students and their families here in Strathmore -- but look forward to the new relationships that will be built in Edmonton.

**I will confirm which class will be offered at each time (Sunrise or Music Pups) when I have some solid numbers as to the ages of the students who would like to register. If the majority of the students are under 3 yrs old -- it will be Music Pups. If the majority of 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 yrs old it will be a Sunrise class.

NOTE: Exact time to be confirmed within 5 or 10 minutes of noted time to allow for traffic in and out of the studio.
